bias incidents

It is an unfortunate fact that some individuals become targets of hateful acts simply because others are intolerant of differences based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, citizenship status, age, or disability. These acts have no place in our community. The UCSB Panhellenic, Interfraternity, and United Sorority & Fraternity Councils strive to maintain an environment that is welcoming and safe for every member of our community. In the event that a hate crime or incident does occur, UCSB’s Bias Incident Response Team provides assistance to the impacted parties. All councils are working hard to become better and strive to make the Greek community more safe and inclusive. In an effort to promote a more inclusive environment and provide tools to better ourselves, we wish to use our platform to promote this important resource that not many students know about.
